Trend Update – October 2020

This month we’ve seen some really exciting movement in one of the most popular colours of recent times.

It would seem that blue has overtaken grey as the go-to colour for this season – toppling the favourite neutral from its pewter-coloured pedestal.

Could it be that Pantone got it right back in November last year, when they named Classic Blue as their colour of the year?

Well, checking through Instagram hashtags we found that for the last three weeks blue has been mentioned way more than grey, with #bluetiles seeing 27,069 posts while #greytiles only got 25,409.

Also, checking trends on Google – within the Home & Garden category – we see blue recently peaked at its highest ever point.

So… well we wrote about it. And Ideal Home amongst other places used it.
