House of Sun

As the Mercury climbs, consumer interest in summerhouses is increasing according to new research from the UK’s leading manufacturer and distributor of wooden garden products.

Using data from Pinterest, Forest Garden found that searches for ‘summerhouse’ have climbed 10 per cent over the last month. Similarly, consumers are also looking for how to style their spaces with ‘summerhouse interiors ideas’ also increasing by 10 per cent over the same period.

Jenny Davis, Head of Marketing for Forest Garden, said: “As people look to maximise every inch of their living space, it’s no surprise that summerhouses are soaring in popularity. Not only are they incredibly versatile but they look stunning and elevate gardens in the style stakes.”

“In terms of planning, most summerhouses don’t need any special permissions so it’s a hassle-free way of creating additional living space.”

“Our summerhouses are incredibly stylish and have been designed to offer timeless, laid-back luxe. With their large, expansive windows they are flooded with natural light and are the perfect place to escape the sun’s rays or those pesky summer downpours.”

Forest Garden have two summerhouse collections, the 4Life and the Beckwood.

The 4Life Collection offers a contemporary touch on traditional summerhouses. Their straight cut overlapping boards not only look great but aid water runoff and allow for natural movement. These modular summerhouses use more timber for a stronger build.

The Beckwood Collection of shiplap summerhouses are crafted with precision and style. They are durable and offer a more coastal-inspired feel.

Jenny added: “Whether you want to create an entertaining space, a relaxing haven or an outdoor playhouse for the kids, a summerhouse is a brilliantly versatile option.”

Forest Garden’s range of summerhouses are available now, starting at £589.99 from forestgarden.co.uk
