Trend Update Feb 2021 – All White Now

“White tiles will never go out of fashion – they transcend trends.”

They might be considered something of an evergreen in interior schemes, but according to new data, interest in white tiles has never been greater.

Google trends shows searches for the term is currently peaking at a 16-year-high.

Abbas Youssefi is a director at independent tile specialists Porcelain Superstore.

He said: “White tiles have always been a staple, but as homeowners continue to get bolder in their interior choices, tile manufacturers are too.

“We are now seeing more choice than ever before when it comes to tile shapes and how they are used, not to mention the increasing use of coloured grouts.”

From tiles with metallic accents and textured surfaces to elongated hexagons and Art Deco-inspired shapes, today’s white tiles are anything but boring.

Abbas added: “There is always going to be a market for white tiles. When it comes to large-scale projects such as a new bathroom or complete kitchen re-fit, white tiles will always be popular because they transcend trends.”
