A century after it first emerged, the Art Deco movement is being reimagined for contemporary living, according to independent tile retailer Porcelain Superstore.
The Neo Deco trend is putting texture and colour into the spotlight as homeowners look to bring the glamour and opulence of the 1920s right up to date.
Abbas Youssefi, Managing Director of Porcelain Superstore, said: “Neo Deco is big news in 2026. We’re seeing homeowners embrace bold geometry, symmetry and structured layouts, but interpreted in a way that feels fresh rather than overly formal.
“Tiles are a natural fit for this movement because they allow you to introduce pattern, colour and repetition in a controlled, architectural way.”
Here, Abbas picks his favourite tiles from Porcelain Superstore’s extensive collection, each chosen to deliver the drama and refinement synonymous with Neo Deco.
Abbas added: “The key is balance. Neo Deco works best when you let one surface take centre stage. Pair bold tiles with simple cabinetry and pared-back accessories to avoid overwhelming the space.”
Porcelain Superstore’s range of Neo Deco-inspired tiles are available now, with prices starting at £22.65 per sheet.
