AutoeBid.com is a reverse-auction website which secures huge savings for car buyers by getting dealerships to compete against each other to offer the customer the lowest price.

jwc were brought in to help raise the profile of AutoeBid.com throughout the mainstream press, highlighting the services the website offers.

Strategy And Tactics

We identified the Daily Mirror and their website mirror.co.uk and the Daily Mail along with their website mailonline.co.uk as key outlets.

Using AutoeBid.com’s own data we created two stories and sold them in to key journalists at those outlets.

  1. For the Mirror we created a story about the Ten Cheapest Family Cars
  2. For the Mail we created a story about the UK’s Most Discounted Cars

Results

We generated seven high profile pieces of coverage in the titles above as well as their online counterparts.

In total the articles were viewed over 3million times and were shared extensively on Social Media.

As a result site traffic and brand awareness increased by around 25%.
