Research from contemporary homeware retailer Black by Design shows interest in re-styling the bathroom is on the up.
Using data from Pinterest, they found searches for ‘modern bathroom design’ have increased over 20% in the last month while searches for ‘minimalist bathroom design’ are also rising.
It comes as Black by Design unveil a collection of sleek bathroom accessories from homeware brand Wireworks.
Lynette Pym, Founder of Black by Design, said: “A few key updates in the bathroom can transform the look and feel of the entire space.
“From adding storage to reduce clutter to swapping tired accessories to bring a new sense of vitality, some small changes can make a big impact.”
Lynette has handpicked a collection of accessories from renowned design brand Wireworks, which she believes will inject new life into even the most tired of bathrooms.
Here Lynette shares her thoughts on each piece in the collection.
Storage is an essential in the bathroom, but it comes in many guises. The Bath Bridge is a great piece where space is tight. Shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath bottles can all be stowed on this minimalist accessory, freeing up shelf space. What’s more, it’s the ideal place to rest your glass of wine when taking a soak.
Those looking for more substantial storage should consider the Yoku 706 Bathroom Multi-Shelf and Zone Bathroom Wall Shelf. Both of these will store a lot of bathroom products but have a very small footprint, ensuring they won’t take up too much floor space.
To keep clutter concealed from view, the Slimline Bathroom Cabinet 550 will keep essentials stowed away from sight – and look good while doing it. This multi-functional piece also doubles as a large mirror.
The double function Eclipse Wall Mirror, designed by Lincoln Rivers for Wireworks is the answer to your bathroom viewing dilemma. One mirror for normal viewing combined with a pivoting magnifying vanity mirror – ideal for changing contact lenses, applying make-up or brushing your teeth.
If wall space is tight, the Look Magnify Mirror exudes Scandi style while its magnifying mirror is large enough to see your whole face.
Completing the line-up is the Slatted Stool and the Yoku Freestanding Toilet Roll Holder.
The Slatted Stool is brilliant for helping little ones reach the basin. It also doubles as a towel holder or additional shelf when children have outgrown it, while the Freestanding Toilet Roll Holder might be an essential but it still very much looks the part.
The Wireworks Bathroom Collection is available now from Black by Design, with prices starting at £82.50.
