jwc kickstarts 2015 with new client win
The new year has got off to a great start at award-winning consumer PR agency jwc with the addition of a new client to its ever-growing roster.
The Manchester-based agency has been awarded the brief to handle media relations for Credit Improver – consumer finance experts who specialise in helping clients improve their credit rating.
The agency will launch the product to the national finance press as well as acting as a press office for the London-based firm.
Nick Cotterill, account director, said: “We can’t wait to start working with the Credit Improver team. They have created a unique product that will transform the finances of countless people across the UK and we really want to get it out there to the people who need it.”
Credit Improver offer consumers who are unable to take out financial products, such as mobile phone contracts and rental agreements, the opportunity to purchase one of three advice packages. Instead of paying for the product, Credit Improver arranges a interest-free finance to cover the cost.
Consumers then repay between £3.99 and £9.99 a month – these monthly repayments are reported back to Equifax and help Credit Improver customers build a positive credit report or improve a poor score.
Tom Eyre, founder of Credit Improver, said: “We have a fantastic product but we need agency support to get it out there in front of the people who will really benefit from it. With jwc on board we are confident we can do this.”
jwc was established in 2012 by former journalist John Warburton and went on to win the ‘Inspiration’ award at the inaugural MPA Awards in 2013 beating industry giants Weber Shandwick, MC2 and Havas.
2014 proved to be the agency’s best year to date, with two new members joining the team, another award win and a host of new clients.
