Yes, we know that Instagram is where it is at for homes & interiors, but for us Twitter remains the best platform for actually nurturing relationships.
It’s a place where people can let their guard down, they can make jokes and generally be more human than on insta, where a beautifully curated grid can be the primary focus.
It’s much easier to connect with someone on a meaningful level, when you can get a sense of what they’re really like.
Your goal isn’t just to engage with them on Twitter – and by engage I don’t mean just liking and retweeting their content, that’s the social media equivalent of following someone around at a party (creepy).
Your goal is to find out what makes them tick – to see what areas of connection there are between what they are writing about and your own products and brand.
That way you can create timely pitches – help someone do their job and they’ll remember you for all the right reasons.
